Angels & Demons Takes the Box Office By Storm

Tom Hanks still knows how to bring in those numbers! His latest film Angels and Demons brought in a whopping $48 million dollars at the domestic box office this weekend, and $152 million worldwide!

Star Trek is still going strong, finishing with $43 million in their second week. The movie has gotten mixed reviews, and fell short of matching its predecessor, The Da Vinci Code, which banked $77 million its 2006 opening.

Here are the top ten movies from the May 15-17 weekend:

Angels and Demons: $48 million

Star Trek: $43 million

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: $14.8 million

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past: $6.8 million Obsessed: $4.5 million

17 Again: $3.4 million

Monsters vs. Aliens: $3million

The Soloist: $2.4 million

Next Day Air: $2.3 million

Earth: $1.6 million
