The Hangover Can't One-Up a Pixar Movie!

The box office numbers are in from this weekend, and although you may be suffering from one on this Monday morning, The Hangover failed to drink everyone under the table.

Pixar’s Up managed to squeeze out another box office win this weekend with $44.2 million. The Hangover trailed by just a tad, raking in $43.3 million.

Angels & Demons Takes the Box Office By Storm

Tom Hanks still knows how to bring in those numbers! His latest film Angels and Demons brought in a whopping $48 million dollars at the domestic box office this weekend, and $152 million worldwide!

Star Trek is still going strong, finishing with $43 million in their second week. The movie has gotten mixed reviews, and fell short of matching its predecessor, The Da Vinci Code, which banked $77 million its 2006 opening.

Vatican Calling for Boycott of Angels & Demons

The Vatican is reportedly calling for a boycott of Tom Hanks’ prequel to The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons.

The film, based on the novel by Dan Brown is set to open in theaters worldwide on May 15th. And the official Vatican newspaper Avvenire says in its latest edition that the church “cannot apprive” of the film.

In addition, Italian newspaper La Stampa reports that the Vatican will soon be calling on all Catholics to boycott the movie....
