Johnny Depp equals box office gold! Alice In Wonderland not only dominated the box office this past weekend, it was the biggest domestic 3-D opening ever and the highest-grossing movie of 2010, reports Hollywood Life.

In the U.S., it made $41 million on Friday and $44.3 million on Saturday. The worldwide three-day total was a whopping $210 million. For the record the movie cost $200 million to make.

Johnny Depp, who has now collaborated with Tim Burton for the seventh time, looks freaky as the Mad Hatter. "This character is off his rocker," producer Richard Zanuck says.

The upcoming film Alice In Wonderland has just gotten a new addition to its cast. Crispin Glover has signed on to play the Knave of Hearts in Tim Burton's adaptation of the film for Disney. Glover joins Mia Wasikowska as Alice and a cast that includes Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.
