Michael Douglas To Play Liberace

Break out those sequined pants, because Steven Soderbergh has signed on to direct a biopic on the flashy pianist and entertainer Liberace. And Michael Douglas is rumored to have been picked for the role!

The two have worked together in the past on the movie Traffic, and there must be something flamboyant that Soderbergh sees in Douglas to think he can pull off this role!

Matt Damon is in talks to play Scott Thorson, who sued Liberace in 1982 for $113 million in palimony, claiming the two were an item for five years. Even that public lawsuit didn't pull Liberace out of the closet, and he continued to deny he was gay.

Thorson ended up settling for $95,000 in 1986. What a juicy love story! Can't wait to see Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as a couple!
