Mischa Barton talked with
Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning, and Ryan dove right into talking about her
DUI from a couple weeks ago. Here are some clips from the interview.
Mischa: "I'm obviously 100% responsible for my actions in this case, and I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it except, I'm not perfect, and I never intend on doing something this stupid again. "
Ryan: "The story says you didn't have a license either."
Mischa: "Yes, I was out with some friends, and I actually hadn't been
driving in the night, and I wanted to get my car home, so I decided to drive
home in the end. I cant really get into specifics, because we've got the
case coming up and I'm not supposed to say anything about what happened, but
yeah I was pulled over."
Ryan: "So it was an effort to get home."
Mischa: "Yeah, it was the end of the night, and I wanted to get my car home,
exactly. I hadn't been driving. I mean, I didn't have a license, I grew up
in New York, the land of people who don't have to drive. It's been the
toughest thing about living in LA for me, and I usually try not to get
behind the wheel."
Ryan: "We've seen over the course of the last couple months and year a lot
of celebrities in the same situation. When you saw the headlines about
Paris, Nicole, or Lindsey, or Kiefer Sutherland, how did you react to that?"
Mischa:"I feel for them. Obviously it's not easy having people follow you
around all the time. Nobody's perfect, so I wouldn't take the moral high
ground. When I see that stuff it's just sad."
