Mischa Barton The Beautiful Life co-workers insist she's doing "great" and there's nothing to be worried about, but her friends are singing a different tune.
Mischa's friends are worried that she's on "the verge of another breakdown," and they want her to seek more professional help.
One pal said: "There still are issues. Mischa's just not herself at all. I think she's gone back to work too soon."
Another friend revealed to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: "She is on the verge of another breakdown - one I think could be even more serious than the last one. She cries for no reason."
As you recall, Mischa was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last month. Just days after being released from the psych ward she boarded a plane to New York and started shooting for her new show.
She was hospitalized for two weeks under a 5150 hold, which means she was deemed a danger to herself or others, gravely disabled or has a mental disorder. Some friends are worried she's become suicidal and needs to seek more help before returning to work.
Some friends claim she turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with her financial problems and heartbreaks. After Mischa's 2007 DUI arrest, her career and personal life took a turn for the worst. She checked into rehab in April of 2008, but she never really got rid of her demons.
Do you think Mischa threw herself back into work too early? She didn't even wait a week after being released to start work.
