It seemed as though Mischa Barton left a psych ward in Los Angeles, boarded a plane to New York and went straight to work with no breaks in between.
While friends and family members were worried she threw herself back into work too quickly, Mischa's The Beautiful Life co-stars tell Hollyscoop exclusively that the starlet is actually doing "great."
"We start filming on Friday and everything is going great," Mischa's co-star Sarah Paxton told Hollyscoop at the Spread movie premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night.
Paxton did have some great advice for Mischa and anyone else going through a similar situation, "I think it’s really hard because in LA we’re a city where a bunch of people are coming here to get something," she said.
"Everyone moves to LA to be an actor…to be so and so…There’s a lot of good people and a lot of bad people. You just have to know how to cut through the B.S. and know who’s a true friend and whose not."
Paxton's Spread co-star Margarita Levieva had similar advice. She added, "I would say stay close to friends and family and say yes to getting help and not feel like you have to be anything or anyone just because you’re famous."
Speaking about the CW show, The Beautiful Life, Paxton added, It’s about this group of young models living in New York and it’s kind of the ugly side of the beautiful life of the fashion industry. I play this girl new upcoming it girl and she’s like the foil to Mischa’s character, who’s Sonia and she’s a supermodel who’s already established in the business.
"Everyone on the show has their own personal part, like their relationships how they are surviving in the crazy fashion industry in New York," she added.
Working on a hit show usually equals long hours and lots of publicity, so we hope Mischa has the support system she needs to make it through the series. Do you think she should have gone back to work so quickly? Tell us your thoughts!
