Mischa Barton to Star in Ashton Kutcher's New Show

Mischa Barton won’t be joining the cast of the new Melrose Place, but she did land herself another job that caught us off guard. She’s joining the cast of A Beautiful Life, a pilot for the CW that was created by Ashton Kutcher.

This latest venture from Ashton is a scripted drama about a group of models living together in a coed residence in New York City. Mischa will play a supermodel named Sonja, who is trying to keep up with the rest of the girls.

Mischa tells E! News, “The show will be racy, drugs, drinking, things like that.”

We think she should have probably stuck with Melrose, since that show has a better survival rate than a new pilot. But it is an Ashton Kutcher show, and his projects have a way of being successful. We’re not sure we buy Mischa as a supermodel though…
