Producers on Mischa Barton's new show The Beautiful Life have hired a "sober coach" to stay with Mischa at all time to ensure that she doesn't relapse and helps her out when she's feeling really low.
Mischa's quick turnaround following her hospitalization under involuntary psychiatric hold at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in July has prompted a lot of worry, so they want to make sure she doesn't fall off that bandwagon again and jeopardize her health and the show.
A source said: “Mischa is doing great since she returned to work, but after a chat with show bosses she agreed she would appreciate some extra support.”
The producers decided it was time to hire her some professional help after she started partying again shortly after they started shooting. She was seen partying at the All Points West music festival in New York just days after she left hospital and started the new show.
Family friend Eric Ziegenbein said: "It's scary to see her out right after she's received treatment. When I found out she'd been partying again, I was shocked. I thought she would chill out for a bit.
"The fact she was out right away proves she's not taking things seriously enough. It was like a big 'f**k you.' She's too proud and independent sometimes."
We hope this "sober coach" has a tight lease on Mischa because we all know the girl loves to party! She seems to be doing really well so far, so we're hoping for the best! Are you planning on watching Mischa's new show?
