There's something shady going on in
Mischa Barton's life. Barton was escorted from her home by police yesterday and taken to an unspecified location.
Police showed up to Barton's house to assist with a "medical issue," but the details are being kept under wraps.
A spokesperson for Los Angeles police, Karen Rayner, said the force is “currently assisting” Barton and that no other individuals were involved. And just to clarify, there were also no arrests made.
The "non-emergency" call came in around 3pm. Barton's camp and the police refuse to give any further details surrounding the mystery escort, but we're sure the information will leak soon.

UPDATE: Mischa is reportedly in the hospital due to complications from oral surgery, she was ambulated by LA police because of the amount of pain she was in.
UPDATE 2: Mischa Barton will skip the tonight’s premiere of her movie Homecoming as a result of her medical situation she had last night.
Her rep tells
People, "Police were involved due to Ms. Barton's celebrity status, to safely transfer her to medical treatment as per doctor's orders. He also added that Mischa is now "okay and resting."
Austin Stark, one of Homecoming's producers, tells
People, "There were some medical problems. She's not able to travel, as far as I know."
He says he's disappointed Barton will miss the indie film's premiere "because she did a great job" in her role as an unscrupulous homecoming queen.
