Almost a year after filing for divorce from Katy Perry, Russell Brad is still hung up on his ex-wife.

The British funnyman is speaking up again about his feelings on why his marriage with the “E.T.” singer didn’t work out. The comedian realizes now that they were never a good match…

Appearing for an interview with Australia’s version of “60 Minutes,” Brand opened up with his bizarre, yet somewhat heartfelt thoughts.

“Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t, but if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways,” he said.

Russell and Katy married on October 23, 2010, sharing a traditional Indian ceremony. The Get Him to the Greek star filed for divorce in December of 2011, putting cab on their 14-month marriage.

“I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking,” Brand added. “If you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism.”

Makes sense…

Then came the wacky comparison to help hammer the point home…

“I think if you’re a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble… I’ve been in a lot of trouble,” Brand said.

Not that finding your true “other half” is on the top of your priorities list if, in fact, you are a meth addict…

Both Katy and Russell has since been spotted cozying up with their rebound hookups… Katy with John Mayer and Robert Ackroyd of Florence and the Machine, and Russell with Geri Halliwell of the Spice girls.
