Fire Burns Through Celebrity Homes

The homes of Hollywood stars including Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand and Courteney Cox-Arquette were threatened by a fire which raced through their exclusive beach front property last night.

The blaze burnt through 20 acres of land in Malibu, California. The ocean side estate of Suzanne Somers and her Canadian hubby Alan Hamel was completely destroyed and significant damage was caused to four other houses.

The ever-optimistic Suzanne released a press release expressing her feelings on the situation :

”My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience.”
