Donald Trump Doesn't Fire Miss USA
Looks like Miss USA Tara Conner isn’t gonna get the dreaded, "Your Fired" from the Donald. In a press conference held today in New York, Donald Trump announced, "I've always been a believer in second chances. Tara is good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance."
Donald also announced that Conner planned to enter rehab. This news comes a day after Conner turned 21 and reports surfaced about her alleged cocaine and alcohol abuse, indiscretions with men and her apparent lack of reliability when it came to showing up at Miss USA-related events. Sounds like she’ll have no problem settling into life in Hollywood.
Conner spoke at the press conference and broke down into tears and although she did not go into details about the allegations against her, she did admit to underage drinking and having "personal demons." Isn’t that a great line? I’m gonna use the whole ‘Personal Demons’ things next time I’m in a jam. "In no way when I walked into the meeting with him did I think it would be possible to be given a second chance," Conner said of her discussion with Trump. "You know what (Trump) could have said – 'You're fired' – that's what everyone expected, including me."
Trump says he changed his mind after speaking to Conner and realizing that she is a beautiful woman with a "beautiful heart". Trump blames Conners problems on the fact that "She left a small town in Kentucky and got caught up in the whirlwind we know is New York." She’s lucky she didn’t end up in LA, or else she would already have her own E! True Hollywood story.
