A blog dedicated to tracking the sales and purchases of celebrity abodes, aptly entitled The Real Estalker, has posted info on the house that Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds is “anxious" to sell.
The 7,344 square feet, 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom house in the woods above Lake Tahoe, in Incline Village, NV is currently listed for $2,950,000. Which is but a scant bit less than the $3,500,000 original asking price that was listed when it hit the market a couple of years ago.
The 10 time Grammy winning R&B singer-songwriter, musician and producer has an impressive collection of solo albums and has worked with artists such as Bobby Brown, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Céline Dion and Pink—to name but a few.
Babyface's website boasts that, “If you were to closely examine the annals of modern pop music history, few creative forces have been more seminal or impacted the contemporary pop/urban genres as much as Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.”
But if you want to go by the opinion of the experts at Real Estalker, Babyface saves all his creative flair for the recording studio. The blog “advertises” the house with not-so-flattering descriptors like: muted, huge and ho-hum, banal-looking, barely decorated brown and beige interiors.
To his defense though, it is one of many homes he owns throughout Nevada and California. So… maybe the others are decorated better? Odds are this wooded retreat was just purchased for glorified camping, and the house is just a millionaire’s version of a two-person pup tent.
Regardless, if you can’t afford to buy, but have R&B aspirations, wondering how you’re going to get your foot in the door—call for the keys. Apparently now that the house has sat on the market for so long, Babyface is willing to consider a rental agreement.
Hey, people have had stranger “coincidental” paths to fame.
