Help A Friend In Need

Let's take a break from the Britney’s, Lindsay’s, and Paris' of the world and concentrate on something much more important. Since November 12, 2007, our dear friend Nataline has been at UCLA medical center. The day before Thanksgiving she underwent a bone marrow transplant. The bone marrow was provided by Bedig, (her 21-year-old brother and Hollyscoop staff member) who was an exact match! Approximately a week after the transplant, Nataline started to have complications with her liver and was immediately admitted in PICU, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Nataline is currently sedated and is fighting for her life. Even after suffering the worst of days, she has proven day-after-day that she's a fighter. The last link required for her full recovery is a liver transplant. We're hoping to find her match as soon as possible as time is of the essence. Simply said, Nataline needs to have this transplant to live. Nataline CANNOT wait much longer.

Perhaps one of the most important things that we can do now is donate blood and platelets. Nataline’s treatment will include an ongoing need for both blood and platelet transfusions. UCLA is accepting donations of both blood and platelets designated specifically for Nataline. Platelets are especially important - please help us by donating platelets today.

To become a platelet donor, please call The UCLA Blood and Platelet Center today.

Ask for Jaime or Fernando at (310) 206-6187

Do something extraordinary and donate blood / platelets / plasma today!

The medical staff and doctors at UCLA are amazing! Our friends and family are amazing! We have had an overwhelming amount of love and support from everyone and I would like to sincerely thank everyone on behalf of Nataline's family.

I will certainly pray for her, I am just gunna ask to maybe state what blood type she is so people will know beforehand if they are a match? May God bless her soul, she looks Armenian too, beautiful, I hate to see my people suffer. May she recover fully.

Hi guys..I wanted to commend Hollyscoop for putting Nataline's story up...Additionally as an FYI whether you are Nataline's blood type or not your blood donation helps Nataline. If you are NOT her blood type they will trade your blood for one which is a match for Nataline and your blood will help Nataline and somebody else... per UCLA Hospital. Keep up the prayers everyone!

She is in good hands. The doctors at UCLA are great. Dr. Buicatell {sp} and Dr. Ghobrial are top notch in their field. I wish her the best.
