Don Imus Back On Radio

News

He's back! Don Imus will be back on the radio starting December 3, TMZ reports. He will make his radio comeback on New York's WABC-AM.

Imus was let go from his radio gig nine months ago after he made racist and sexist comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team.

WABC president Steve Borneman said, "We are ecstatic to bring Don Imus back to morning radio. Don's unique brand of humor, knowledge of the issues and ability to attract big-name guests is unparalleled. He is rested, fired up and ready to do great radio."

Do you guys think it's all right for him to get a second chance?

He should be hurled off this rock. Just kidding. I don't ever recall hearing him on radio. I did hear about what he said, but it didn't seem to me to be something that was the end of the world. I think the incident was another case of people trying to tell other people what they can or cannot say. But I don't think he should have said what he said simply because of respect. But if he wants to be on radio, and there's a station that will put him on the air, it's up to people to decide whether they want to listen. I'm sure there will be people who will listen to him on the radio in the future.

The fact that people believe that there was nothing wrong with what he said, baffles my mind. But this is usually the case when it comes to degrading African Americans. But, when is enough, enough? He was totally disrespectful to a group of women that did not deserve to be degraded. Whether they were black, white or any other race, it was wrong. Not only was he disrespectful to Black women, he was disrespectful to women in general. Black women are not the only women with tight, curly nappy hair. I wish him the best, and hopefully he learned his lesson. But I for sure will not be listening.

hell yes he deserves a second chance, he should've never been fired in the first place! Society using him as an example! This guy may be obnoxious at times, but he didn't deserve to be fired. I hope he does well - I'm sure plenty of people are happy to have him back. What lesson did he need to learn? To be more respectful? sure I agree. But seriously, whatever happened to freedom of speech?! I think we all learned a lesson from his mistake and that is : Our constitutional rights are slowly being taken away from us!
