Hayden Panettiere was in the headlines this week for two different things: one for yelling at a reporter while in Hawaii, and secondly, for allegedly wanting her ex Milo Ventimiglia fired from Heroes.

But Hayden wanted to clear up the two stories and tell her side, so she spoke to Ok! magazine today. First she addressed the Hawaii story, which she said was blown out of proportion.

She says, "I have tremendous respect for the media and reporters – particularly the press who treat the people they are interviewing with dignity. I am appreciative that the press has supported me, my career, and especially the causes I feel passionately about. While in Hawaii, one reporter grabbed me suddenly from behind and frightened me. It happens. Typically, the press has treated me with great respect."

Ok, we’ll give her that. We wouldn’t want anyone grabbing us suddenly either! But why did she have to tell the rest of the reporters on the red carpet that they make her life miserable? We’ll chalk that up to a bad day.

The second rumor floating around this week was that Hayden wanted Milo fired from the show Heroes , which they both work on. Sources had said Hayden didn’t even want to be on set when he was there. As for that story, Hayden says, "Milo and I are very close. We have enjoyed and continue to enjoy working together."

Now that sounds like a PR-contrived response if we’ve ever heard one! We had heard Hayden was even lobbying to producers to get his character killed off, and Milo was shocked and didn’t want to stoop to her level.

But ultimately, we couldn’t imagine the producers ever letting her get away with that. Plus show creator Tim Kring told Ok! magazine that whatever’s going on between Hayden and Milo will not affect the outcome of the show. He says, "The final decision about which characters live and die on Heroes rests with me. I've made no announcement yet as to who will return and who won't."

On-set romances are great while they last, but things tend to get a little sticky when co-stars break up, which is the case with Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia.

New reports suggest Hayden is trying to run her ex off the set of their show Heroes.

According to OK! magazine, Hayden doesn’t even want to be in the same radius as Milo! The magazine reports, “She refuses to be on the set at the same time as him. She is making it difficult for everyone involved.”

Sounds a little immature, didn’t anyone ever tell her she shouldn’t bring her personal problems to the workplace?

The source also tells OK! that Milo is over her childish behavior, and is opting to stay professional. The mag says, “He’s not going to play any games or stoop to her level.”

This is probably just a case of Hayden being 19, and Milo being 31. She’s playing the breakup games that a lot of girls tend to do, and while we don’t necessarily know the details of their break-up, it seems Hayden is mad about something! We hope for Milo’s sake that the producers wouldn’t fire him over something so trite!

Hayden Panettiere has been making headlines lately in regards to her attempt to save the whales. The 'Heroes' star has become a hero in her own right as she fights to bring awareness for the Whaleman Foundation.

We caught up with Hayden at an intimate dinner she hosted at L.A. hotspot Beso which brought out Eva Longoria, Isabel Lucas, Ken Paves, Donald Faison and her boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia.

Isabel Lucas was mum about her recent accident with Shia Labeouf, but did talk about her commitment to bringing awareness towards this cause. She says, "In Alaska, the women can't breastfeed their baby because their diet is predominantly whale meat and whales have so much mercury in their bodies because of ocean pollution. They’ve been infected and the breast milk feeding their baby is actually highly toxic."

Hayden's man Milo confessed that he learned about the charity through Hayden. He said he thought Hayden was really brave "to put herself in a position that a lot of people wouldn't put themselves in."

In regards to the arrest warrant that was issued against her, Hayden said, “There was, the Japanese culture is such that its one of the kindest most polite most welcoming cultures you can ever run across. I think they did it to pretty much scare us from coming back."

She added, "I went and had a meeting with the foreign minister…the foreign minister said I was welcome anytime. Very kind man. Very welcoming, and he said I was his most welcome guest so there’s a shocker."

MORE PICTURES AFTER THE JUMP!

While Hayden Panettiere is eager to move into an apartment with her boyfriend of just a few months, Milo Ventimiglia is calling himself single. In the upcoming issue of Cosmo, Milo tells the reporter he's been single for a year. Here's a snippet:

Cosmo: Do you get nervous on dates?
Milo: Yes. I've been single for a year and a half. It's tough being witty for two hours.
Cosmo: Have friends tried to set you up?
Milo: Yeah, someone thinks you'd look "cute" together, but you share no interests and become combative. You just wish you were home, scrubbing your toilet.

That can't be good for Hayden's self esteem! Maybe he's just messing with Cosmo, because they look like quite the couple lately. And he doesn't appear to dreaming about scrubbing his toilet.

Milo Venti-I don't know how to spell or pronounce his last name-iglia appears in GQ Magazine for its upcoming March issue.

He finally opens up about his not so secret relationship with Hayden Panettiere saying that they've been really low key because it's basically no ones beeswhacks if their dating or not.

One thing he does like is the nickname HALO that they've been given by the blogs. He says, " You know what, man—it makes me smile."

On a side note, he looks pretty yummy in the picture he took for GQ. It's very GQ!

Milo Ventimiglia has been a very, very bad boy! A very busy bad boy. While on hiatus from 'Heroes', Milo is starring as a villain in two different movies, Chaos Theory and Game, which stars Amber Valetta and Gerard Butler.

It's a futuristic thriller where humans can control other humans in a multi-gaming environment. With the strike ending no time soon, Milo's smart to be getting paychecks from other places.

Because of the Writers' Strike, "Heroes" was forced to end their season early. And they went with the same guy to save the world again. Well, in a time when nothing and no one is working in Hollywood, I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it!

Milo Ventimiglia's character, Peter, destroyed a virus capable of annihilating most of mankind while Nathan Petrelli, Peter's high-flying brother, appeared to be assassinated at a press conference. Phew!

Ventimiglia says he's seen no scripts and has no clues about what will happen when the show returns. "We ran out of stuff to shoot," he said. "That's basically what it boils down to."

Meanwhile, Milo is producing and starring in the first episode of a series of holiday-themed stop-animation short films for American Eagle Outfitters. The digital shorts also feature Lil Jon, Kristen Bell, Pete Wentz and Adrianne Palicki.

"I try and take a break and take a vacation," he says, "but I keep getting wrapped up in jobs." He should be glad he even has a job right now!
