Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s wedding may officially be off, but one thing sure isn’t…the engagement ring on Miley’s finger.
According to a Miley insider, she’s keeping the custom-made piece her ex Liam had made for her.
“The ring has not been returned to the jeweler, Neil Lane,” a source told E! News, and doesn’t look to be en route to the ring shop any time soon either.
“Generally, the protocol is for the bride to keep the ring,” the source continued. “It’s up to her whether or not she wants to return it or keep it as a memento.”
The “Wrecking Ball” singer still “hasn’t decided” what she’s going to do with the $100,000 diamond—“hand-cut around 1880 or 1890,” Neil Lane said—because of its uniqueness.
“My guess is, she’ll hold onto it as a keepsake,” the source speculated. “Besides, it’s such a recognizable ring. If you were a bride-to-be, would you want a ring with that kind of negative history associated with it?”
