Oh, god. Miley Cyrus is saying things again.
The 18 year-old singer was photographed for Prestige, looking totally grown up. Actually, they just gave her some bangs and put her in Gucci. But I still see the Hannah Montana in there.
In the interview, Miley says, "People have very mixed opinions on me; I’m a great role model, or I’m completely inappropriate for anyone under 13 and I am controversial. I don’t know how I became this."
Well, let me clear things up. You're a great role model for people trying to figure out how to use a bong. For kids, not so much.
"It’s weird. Two complete extremes. I’m not some crazy lady who’s gone off the deep end, because I definitely haven’t. I just always try to be real. Every 18 year old explores sexuality and experiments and tries things. For me there’s no reason to change that. You have to be true to yourself."
I see where she's coming from, but "I'm young, I gotta experiment" were the famous last words Lindsay Lohan said before that zombie porn star took her over. And yeah, I guess every 18 year-old does explore sexuality, but you don't talk about it and give the world the visual of you checking yourself out in the bathroom with a hand mirror, saying "oh ma gawd, is that what it looks like y'all?"
Miley has been dating Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. The couple had previously split, but reunited earlier this summer. Cyrus says despite her reputation, she spends most of her time at home:
“There was this magazine article the other day, showing all the younger celebrities. I was the Girl Next Door or whatever, and I fell under the category of Good Girl Gone Bad. And I was like, ‘What the hell, man?’"
She added, “I stay in the house pretty much every day. I don’t go out. I’ve had the same boyfriend for two years. So I think there are two very different reviews.”
Cyrus recently got yet another tattoo--two lines on her index finger. Really, they just look like a cat scratched her or something, but apparently they have meaning. Cyrus tweeted a photo of her new tat and wrote:
"All LOVE is equal."
She then added, "Feline leukemia ain't contagious, is it, y'all?"
