Miley Cyrus Voted Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009

Miley Cyrus has been raising eyebrows lately with her rebellious behavior.

She's shed her squeaky clean 'Hanna Montana' image and replaced it with pole dancing and super sexy outfits that would make most parents send their daughters to their room.

So it should come as no surprise that Miley has been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009 by the very people who made her a star, tweens and teens.

AOL's JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website said Miley got 42% of votes when readers were asked which celebrity had the worst in a section on worst celebrity influences of the year.

She beat out stars like Britney Spears and Kanye West, who were voted into second and third places.

No reasons were given as to why she was voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009, but we're assuming the pole dancing she did recently at the Teen Choice Awards didn't help.

And who could forget those racy photos she sent her ex boyfriend Nick Jonas? Do you think Miley is a bad influence on children?

For those of you who think she's not a bad influence: one of the main reasons she is, is because she targets young, young girls, and that's essentially where she makes her money. When she does something like this, that say, the Pussycats could do on ANY show (and it would be fine), is because it isn't expected and isn't something that she should do. I mean, yeah she's a teenager, shit happens, but she could have chosen a better moment than on TV.

She wasen't even pole dancing for god sake, look up pole dancing and i thinkyou'll find what miley was doing was NOT pole dancing, for drying out loud. im going to go dance infront of a bus stop or something does that mean i pole dance? I'm getting right mad about everyone writing stupid things about miley, she's not a bad influence she's an intelligent, gorgeous, passionate person. She has morals! x

For a young lady who has had to deal with stardom and the press since she was a little girl, I think its about time for her to do some crazy things. I believe there are MANY worse role models out there. She's going to stretch her wings a little. But there are a lot worse things that have been done by celebs. I'd let my children watch her. But young ones need to have more role models than just people on TV. And if parents can't supply them with that, maybe they shouldn't be parents.

While I am concerned that all young stars can pull a Tara Reid (sorry dear, but hey)I am sure that her father will reconsider what's going on. If not, my prayers are with her. Lots of other people can be considered a worse influence on children. In fact I don't think any celebs can be considered great influences on children. Maybe parents should try to make more of a positive impact on their own children instead of relying on celebs to do so.
