It’s a celebrity style double take!
Celebrities tend to be a little more open to experimentation when it comes to their styles, but even famous people can get tapped out with imagination.
That’s when a little “inspiration” comes in handy. As a result, some celebrities take to copying the styles of their fellow famous peeps…. The results of which are not always as awesome as the original.
Here are a few celebrities caught copying their fellow stars…
John Mayor does the ‘Johnny Depp’: Let’s not kid ourselves… When John Mayer reemerged from his post-Taylor Swift hideaway in his Rolling Stone interview earlier this summer, it was obvious that the “Born and Raised” singer was trying out his best Captain Jack.
Miley or Pink?: At the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, aside from adding pink tips, Miley did everything she could to channel P!nk. Introducing the performance of “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” in a poofed up, slicked back hairdo, it was hard to tell the 19-year-old “Can’t Be Tamed” songstress from her MILF mentor.
Like Mother, Like Daughter: Suri Cruise has been known to copy Katie Holmes’ style, having been pictured out and about in NYC with her mom in similar garb… But, with Katie’s style sense earning her recent fashion world acclaim, this isn’t exactly a tragedy. Suri’s well on her way to the elementary school “Best Dressed” award.
Miley Cyrus’ Inspires a Nation: When Miley Cyrus first published the photos of her new platinum blonde hair style, America stood still. Everyone from Ellen DeGeneres to even us at Hollyscoop started copying the look. But by far our favorite imitation was “Girls” creator Lena Dunham who tweeted her own photo and wrote “I Miley’d the sh*t out of Saturday.”
Funny Guy Kyle Bornheimer Tries to be Funny Guy Seth Rogen: A quick look at the trailer for Kirsten Dunst’s new comedy Bachelorette might have casual viewers thinking Seth Rogen is featured in the film. But hold that thought, Hollyscoopers… It’s actually just a lesser known Kyle Bornheimer riding Rogen’s coattails.
Kristen Borrows From Rob’s Closet: A nasty breakup didn’t stop the Twilight actress from stealing her estranged boyfriend’s clothes. Since Us Weekly published the photos of Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders she has been spotted continuing to sport Robert’s hats and “Irie” shirt.
Nicki Minaj as Gaga at VMAs: Despite the fact that she told Moda Mob her body suit inspiration at the MTV VMAs was “big fat balls,” there’s no denying that Minaj was at least a tiny bit motivated by the “Born This Way” singer. We missed Gaga at the event, so the rapper’s bizarre fashion choice helped maintain a good level of weirdness for the night.
