Billy Ray Praises Miley Cyrus

Singer Billy Ray Cyrus is praising his 15 year-old daughter Miley for putting on a brave face following her recent Vanity Fair photo scandal.

Billy Ray told OK!: “I can't imagine being her age and going through what she went through. I’m amazed she kept on.”

He added, "I know the business can eat you alive, but I’m a calloused old veteran, and she’s a young, teenage girl. It’s a heck of a storm to survive even with maturity."

This photo "scandal" has seriously been blown way out of proportion. She would be showing more skin if she was in a bikini at the beach. She bares her back and all of a sudden it's making headlines across the world and is considered "scandalous." The girl has even been placed on lock down by Disney and asked not to do any public appearances and "lay low" for a while. Everyone needs to just drop it and move on with their lives. It's not the end of the world people!

I find that the picture is beautiful... if only she was 18+! No wonder guys are all wanting sex in their early teens!! If all they look at is bare skin, that's all they think about as well! What kinda of world are we living in where 15yr olds are posing with a sheet covering them!! That was too old for her to do... far beyond her time I say.

Yeh, this might have all been purposely engineered to boost Miley's popularity (though it didn't really need any boosting, just changing, which it did.) But this incident might've been completely unintentional. If it was, it's quite a coincidence coming right before the release of her new album. In any case, the controversey might actually help her career - introduce her to a larger fan base. As far as the sexual implications of the photo shoot is concerned, it's inconsequential. There have been and still are some 15 year old and younger models who've taken more provocative photos than these without any backlash or controversey. As long as Miley wasn't nude, and she wasn't, there should've been nothing to complain about, because everything else is just a matter of opinion. And the opinions of too many seemed to be way too over the top, as opposed to say the opinions of people living in another century, when this photo would've been met with acceptance. But, also in another time, the sweet and innocent Hannah Montana would've been considered scandalous. So what does that tell us about our modern day perspective?

What the fuck do you expect him to say? Of course they are going to try to spin this around, and on top of that they are going to try to get as much publicity out of this as possible. Like the saying goes "There is no such thing as bad publicity".

i really don't think that the photo itself was scandalous. the fact that it came from a 15yr old kid who calls a 21 yr old her bff and have candid "sexy" photos of herself all over the internet is the reason why all these were blown out of proportion. Also, I really get creeped out when I see that picture on blogs. She looks like a starving homeless kid on an ad for donation.

this is not scandelous. im a 15 year old girl, soon to be 16, and girls my age right now in high school are doing worse things then this, NOT professional things. they are truly innocent. everyone needs to leave Miley alone, shes a beautiful girl and its a beautiful picture. its classy and fabulous, and she is not a bad person. shes growing up, and shes turning into a young woman.
