Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, in his ongoing feud with Abercrombie & Fitch, has hired lawyers to file a lawsuit against the clothing company.
Or, in Jersey Shore talk, he hired one of "them guys like on that Ally McBeal show to make it so he gets paid, son."
Three months after Abercrombie & Fitch publically offered the Situation cash to NOT wear their clothes, the reality icon has filed a lawsuit against the company. I don’t really get it. Have you seen those dudes standing outside of the Abercrombie store? That's basically what this company does—pay people to not wear clothes.
At any rate, A&F offered the Sitch a cash bonus to never, ever promote their brand, despite the fact that they came out with a design named "The Fitchuation."
Sorrentino filed the lawsuit in Florida, claiming that Abercrombie has infringed on his trademarks. They also sold T-shirts that read: "GTL…You Know The Deal."
Man, I hate to side with a member of the Jersey Shore, but the dude has a point. I mean, those are definitely Jersey Shore branded T-shirts. If you disagree, ask yourself one question—would you wear them? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Sitch is asking for $4,000,000 in damages. And if A&F made more than a million off of those shirts, I have sorely overestimated our society's sensibilities.
Whether or not he has a case, Mike might be doing this because he's broke. In an interview, his costar, Snooki, revealed: "Jersey Shore’ is going to end soon. I'm not going to spend money like Mike. He’s already broke.”
Who knew Ed Hardy shirts and costume jewelry could be so expensive?
If you haven't been keeping up with your Jersey Shore watching, well, first of all, good for you. Hope you're enjoying your brain cells. I miss mine. But anyway, if you haven't been watching, Snooki and The Situation have been fighting. Something about a blow job and throwing a vase, I don’t really know.
Snooki recently appeared on Wendy Williams to talk about her ongoing feud with Mike:
“Mike is disgusting,” she said. “He treats women like they’re a piece of garbage. And he’s just gross when he refers to women. … I just think he’s obsessed with me and he wanted camera time and that’s why he (made the hook-up claim).”
And if The Situation thinks he has a chance, he better think again:
"I would never date Mike," Snooki insisted. "I'd rather cut my legs off than date Mike."
