Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino was battling a very serious addiction to exhaustion. Now that he’s overcome his addiction to exhaustion, he’s back and “better than ever.”
A message on Sitch’s website, addressed to “fans and business partners,” read: "Michael 'The Situation' Sorrentino is home and would like to thank his fans, friends, family, and business partners for their continued support and words of encouragement.”
The most curious thing about all of this is that there are people who are offering support and words of encouragement.
"He is now stronger and better than ever, and excited for this new amazing chapter in his life,” the statement continues.
Rumors have been swirling that the Situation is receiving treatment at the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah. But his rep clarified that he was "at an undisclosed location for much-needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule."
Hollyscoop talked to therapist-of-the stars, Dr. Drew, about Mike’s rehab stint. He warned that Sitch should spend at least 6 months in rehab.
“My concern…as with every celebrity is they return to work prematurely,” Dr. Drew told Hollyscoop.
“When I used to treat lot of celebrities that was the thing. They want to get back to work. They want to make money. People, whom they made money for, wanted them back to work. They like their work. Almost without exception, they need to take 6 -12 months off.”
Dr. Drew continued: “Hopefully if he goes back to that situation (ha!), has trouble, he’ll go back to treatment.”
