If Alec Baldwin had his way, he would "for sure" want Michelle Obama to be the next guest star.
"I would like Michelle Obama on 30 Rock,” Alec told Hollyscoop exclusively at the premiere of his movie Lymelife, which opened up the 14th Annual Gen Art Film Festival presented by Acura.
Alec spoke about welcoming the First Lady on the show, but not her world-leading husband. “The President is on TV every day, all day. So we want to get something different,” Alec said.
As for what role Michelle Obama would play? “I think my character falls in love with Michelle Obama, of course,” Alec said. Then he jokingly added. “You know, if it doesn’t work out with Barack…”
So… will Michelle make an appearance? If anyone could get the White House to guest star, it would be Alec Baldwin’s 30 Rock character Jack Donaghy. You never know!
The Emmy Award winning comedy is going on summer hiatus and Alec “is really sorry the season is over.” He added that “It’s a lot of fun. It’s the best job I ever had.”
During the summer, Alec will be filming a movie with Meryl Streep and Steve Martin - a currently untitled romantic comedy about two men who vie for the affection of a woman, scheduled for release December 25th.
The emotionally raw film Lymelife opens in theaters April 8 in New York City and April 17 in Los Angeles before expanding so make sure to check it out!
And now… let’s take a vote! Tell us if you think Michelle Obama would rock as a guest star? The polls are open to hollyscoop.com readers exclusively…
