Michael Phelps announced after the Olympics that he was about to go into retirement at the ripe old age of 27, and like any twenty-something with some steam to blow, the famed Olympian headed to Las Vegas.
And ladies, no, there were no Prince Harry-style photoshoots while in Sin City. Phelps is an honorable Olympian. He kept his nude photos at home, next to his bong. Just kidding.
Phelps and several of his teammates like Allison Schmitt, Nathan Adrian and Charles Houchin did it up big at the Encore Beach Club on Saturday where Phelps was handed a special cake to pay tribute to his 22 medals.
The famous swimmers ironically lounged outside the pool in a luxury bungalow, while David Guetta manned the DJ booth.
Anytime the dudes made their way through the pool area, a chant of “USA! USA!” broke out.
Phelps and co. arrived in Vegas on Friday night where he reportedly hung out with Afrojack in the deejay booth at Surrender Nightclub and shouted out to the crowd, “This is my first night of retirement at Surrender!” Obviously, that was met with cheers from the crowd.
Noticeably absent from his trip was Ryan Lochte and Phelp’s girlfriend Megan Rossee.
