Video: Michael's Jackson's Pepsi Commercial Fire Accident

An eerie video has just been released from the set of a Pepsi commercial Michael Jackson shot in 1984. For the shoot, Michael performed on stage at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in front of 3000 fans.

The shoot involved pyrotechnics on the stage, and one of them went off too early, causing Michael’s hair to catch on fire. He ran off the stage, and was surrounded immediately by security, trying to stamp the fire out.

Michael suffered second and third-degree burns on his face and scalp. Many are speculating that this could have been the beginning of Michael’s long addiction to painkillers.

sandra2... He did sue them and then donated the money to a children's hospital. I was burned by chemical years a go. It took years to grow the hair in that area, and even today sometimes the spot bothers me. I was not burnt as bad as Michael, so I know he suffered---he was burnt bad.... Psychologically wise---everytime he looked in the mirror he was reminded, as am I, although not to his extent.

OMG!!!I never seen this commercial but to witness it now is HORRIFYING!!! Poor sweet Michael. He endured so much and I don't know that he even sued them or not. This left me in more tears after seeing how disillusioned his face was after they all jumped on him to fan the flames. When he stood up with that bald spot from the burn you could see his face was so mortified by the whole ordeal. I almost fainted with sadness after watching this. Poor baby I loved him so much and wish he was still here. R.I.P. sweet Michael. I love you!
