After a five-month civil trial and a jury deliberation that lasted only five days, a verdict in the Katherine Jackson vs. AEG civil trial has been made.
The Jackson family is asking for $1.5 billion in damages from AEG and claiming that the concert promoter negligently hired Dr. Conrad Murray who ultimately pushed Michael Jackson to his death.
AEG says Michael Jackson hired Conrad privately and they had no idea what went on with Michael under Conrad’s care.
After a confusing reading, which involved the jury not understanding the difference between “yes” and “no,” the trial's verdict was finally announced.
Well, the verdict is…AEG is off the hook. The jury rejects the claim that AEG was negligent in hiring Dr. Murray.
