Katherine Jackson is on her way back to Calabasas, California to save the day, but she's a little too late...
TJ Jackson, the son of Michael’s brother Tito, has been given temporary guardianship of MJ’s three children from family matriarch Katherine Jackson. The 82-year-old grandma might not have authorized the change in guardianship but a probate judge did.
Katherine's estate attorney Perry Sanders Jr. confirmed during a media conference following the hearing that Katherine was relieved of her role today and that her attorneys will file paperwork to have her reinstated immediately.
34-year-old TJ appeared in court earlier where Judge Mitch Beckloff appointed TJ the temporary guardian of Paris, Prince, and Blanket.
However, it wasn't before Katherine rejected TJ when he asked permission to do just that.
According to X17, Katherine got on the horn with TJ last night to talk about the issue. When TJ asked Katherine if he could take over the guardianship of the kids, she reportedly said no.
"I don't give you authority to become temporary guardian of the children. It's not going to happen. I'm coming home tomorrow," a source relayed from the conversation.
X17 reports that TJ’s move was instigated by the current executors of Michael’s estate.
"This is a conspiracy to take the children from Katherine Jackson,” the source said. “The executors, John McClain and John Branca, are instructing TJ what to do."
According to Paris’ Twitter account, Katherine had been missing from the children’s life for over a week, tweeting, “9 days and counting… so help me god i will make whoever did this pay.”
TJ, who is said to have been like a father to the kids in the past, offered encouragement to Paris.
“I know it's completely unfair for them to do this to you and your brothers,” TJ tweeted. “We will keep trying. I love you."
After his mother Katherine, according to Michael's will, Diana Ross is second in line to take over permanent guardianship. Hollyscoop contacted a rep for the singer on the matter, who responded with "no comment." We are currently waiting on an official statement.
Judge Beckloff said that Ross has been notified of the guardianship change and advised TJ to file the paper to obtain a permanent guardianship moving forward.
