Demerol Injection May Have Caused Michael's Death

While the cause of Michael Jackson's death remains unknown, there are two things we're certain of: he had doctors visit him daily, and he was on a lot of prescription medication.

Brian Oxman, who has served as the Jackson family attorney for more than 20 year, suspects that abuse of prescription drugs may have led to Jackson's death.

"I don't know what caused Michael's death, and I don't want to speculate as to what the causes are," Oxmon tells Us Weekly.

"I only know that I warned them there was the misuse of prescription medications by people who were enabling him; his handlers, folks who should never have been permitted to allow him to use those medications in the manner I observed."

"He had cracked a vertebrae in his back and he took painkillers to try to ease the pain," he says. "And now we find ourselves here. I don't know if the two are connected. I had warned that the misuse of medications would result in this, and I am heartbroken that we are here."

TMZ is reporting that Michael was given a heavy dose of morphine prior to his death, which may have caused him to overdose on the medication.

Meanwhile, the UK Sun claims he overdosed on Demerol, a drug similar to morphine.

An autopsy is scheduled Friday afternoon, but the results won't be available until next week. Los Angeles County Coroner Investigator Jerry McKibben said if a cause can be determined by the autopsy, they will announce the results.

Fans continue to mourn for the loss of one of the biggest entertainers in the world. Thousands of fans have bombarded Michael's star on Hollywood Blvd leaving notes, gifts and flowers. Such a tragic loss!

I'm sure MJ had his demons like other famous celebrities and regular folk, but with the most gentle soul.

Car still on property. Doctor gone missing? No statement has been issued to police by "Doctor's attorney?". What is really going on here? Was Michael murdered?

These suppose to be news magazines and journalist should get their info.correct BRIAN OXMON IS NOT JACKSON FAMILY ATTORNEY.For those of you who cannot figure out how a lawyer for the family could come out and make these allegations this is why.He was 1 attorney for MJ trial who the family dismissed. He sued Michael Jackson for legal fees and LOST! The family is in mourning and I am sure are not watching news coverage but will be glad when someone puts a stop to him!!

"Thousands of fans have bombarded Michael's star on Hollywood Blvd..." Which is funny and kind of tells you the mentality of people who worship this freak. They're at the wrong star...lol. The star for THIS Michael Jackson is currently underneath a red carpet for a movie premier. His "fans" are laying stuff at the star for Michael Jackson the radio personality. Pinheads.

Such a waste of a gifted talent. It's sad to think if drugs were the cause of his death.Elvis was the other such tragedy, lesson not learned by his doctors. My heartfelt regards,to his family, and those close to him.

It must be Stressful for Celebrities sometimes and it seem a lot of them get Addicted or Rely on Prescription Drugs, which may harm them in some way, to cope with stardom. Such ashame if this was part of the cause of MJ's death.
