Michael Jackson’s will was just filed at a Los Angeles court.
There has been a lot of speculation in the past week about who will ultimately get custody of Michael’s children, but his will clearly states that he wants his mother Katherine to become their legal guardian.
"The most important element of Michael's will is his unwavering desire that his mother, Katherine, become the legal guardian for his three children."
In the event that his mother Katherine cannot care for his children, he wants his daughter and two sons to be taken care of by Diana Ross if anything prevented his mother Katherine from doing so.
As for his assets, a source tells the
AP that his will leaves all his money to a trust fund. The will was signed on July 7, 2002, and named Jackson’s longtime lawyer John Branca and family friend John McClain as executors.
Almost all of the estate, which is estimated at $500 million, "consists of non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalog of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony/ATV, and interests in various entities."
The 5 page will also clearly states that Debbie Rowe is not to be provided for after Michael's death.
As for the rumors of his father being excluded from the will--they're all true. His father Joe was not mentioned once in the will, which isn't the least bit surprising!
