Michael's Doctor to Stand Trial for Manslaughter

Michael Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray is screwed. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor is sending the MJ case to trial after interviewing more than 30 witnesses in the past two weeks.

Earlier this week we found out Conrad was giving Michael propofol at least 6 nights a week, which Judge Pastor found to be ridiculous, including the lethal dose on the day MJ passed.

Conrad's lawyers unsuccessfully tried to convince Judge Pastor that their client was innocent. Conrad's lawyer Joseph Low told the Judge, "That defies common sense. Most importantly it defies everything you've heard about Dr. Murray and what a good doctor he is and how much he cares about Michael Jackson. I do not believe Conrad Murray should be held responsible for killing Michael Jackson because he couldn't breathe life back into him. Sometimes when it's your time to go, there's nothing you can do."

Michael's lawyer countered, “In contrast to Mr. Low's comment, let me just say, it was not Michael Jackson's time to go. Because of Dr. Murray's actions, Michael's children are left without a father."

Judge Pastor suspended Conrad's medical license (finally!) and the whole bunch is due back in court on January 25 when a date will be set for trial. Conrad faces at least 4 years behind bars.
