Dr. Conrad Murray is in some serious trouble with law enforcement officials.
Murray was with Michael on the day he died and is the apparent focus of a manslaughter investigation because he reportedly injected with Michael Propofol just hours before the singer died.
According to sources at TMZ, Dr. Murray gave Jackson an IV drip of the powerful anesthesia. Police believe Dr. Murray simply wasn't paying attention when the singer's heart stopped beating.
"Authorities believe Dr. Murray may have actually fallen asleep during the time the drug was administered and may have awakened to find Jackson already dead from heart failure," reports TMZ.
The L.A. coroner's pending toxicology report, which can ultimately hold the fate of Dr. Conrad Murray, is expected to be released this week.
"We anticipate releasing it this week," said Los Angeles County Department of Coroner Chief Investigator Craig Harvey on July 27. "We still have details to work out."

Dr. Conrad Murray’s team has spoken out about the most recent allegations. Tammy Kidd, a spokesperson for Murray’s lawyer Ed Chernoff, said in a statement: “It’s a waste of time responding to all these timed ‘leaks’ from ‘anonymous’ sources.”
"I have no doubt they want to make a case – for goodness sakes, its Michael Jackson - but things tend to shake out when all the facts are made known."
"Everyone needs to take a breath and wait for these long delayed toxicology results.”
