The media wasn’t able to figure out how or where it was transported. And now we’ve learned that it was intentionally hidden from the public.
According to E! News, Michael’s body was transported through an underground tunnel that connects the Staples Center to the Nokia Theater.
It’s usually used for food service and maintenance workers, and occasionally, artists performing at the venues.
Janet Jackson, La Toya, and Rebbie Jackson utilized the tunnel to get across the street from Staples to thank the thousands of fans who had shown up.
After the ceremony, Michael’s casket was put into a van at the LA Live loading dock, and was transported to a refrigerated mortuary. Where that mortuary is located is still unknown at this point.
