Michael Jackson's A Good Dad

Say what you say about Michael Jackson, but publisher Jamie Foster Brown insists the fallen pop star is a wonderful father. The publisher spend some time with Jackson and his kids in Japan last month chronicling the trip for the issue of her Sister 2 Sister magazine

Brown told Rush & Malloy, "They were walking around me, and we were taking pictures without [their veils] - they were very loose. But when they did go outside, they put the scarves around the children's faces.

"I just noticed also how nice the kids were. They're not privileged at all. They have a lot of fun with [Michael]. They're intelligent, extremely well-spoken, and they like to play jokes."

"That was his misunderstanding," she told Rush & Malloy. "He wasn't raised around people 'playing the dozens,' using slang or stuff like that. He doesn't know about kids showing off - you don't take that badly. He just seemed to be a good parent. More so than most of us!"

eh....I don't know if he's a good dad or not. Maybe everyone he knows just says he's a good dad to get a better light on him. He sounds way too childlike himself to be a good dad, and he isolates his kids. I know he doesn't want them over-exposed or kidnapped or whatever, but if they can't go to school or hang out with kids their own age, they aren't going to be very happy. I am a fan of Michael's music and I do think he is God's gift to music, but he seems to childish to be a good dad...not that I think he's a BAD dad, he just doesn't seem mature.

Of course he's a good parent he's protecting his children from the childhood he had. He just wants them to be normal.And he teaches them to be good and pure to be honest he might even be better than some of us

Michael Jackson is like any other parent - doing the best he can do. His job is harder than most because of the constant media attention and (often) baseless criticism. I don't agree with the maskas and head scarves, but I can see why he does it. he wants them to have some privacy when out in public - something he has sorely missed since the 1960s. When they go out without him they don't wear masks or scarves and they are not (usually) bothered by press. Well done Mr Jackson for protecting your children from the press!

of course he's a good dad he's devoted his life to helping children not as fortunate as us. the press should concentrate on this and his music rather than bringing up old stuff that was proven untrue.

I never had a doubt about him. Everybody who comes around Mike and his kids say he is a good dad. And I think it comes from how he was brought up. He doesn`t beat his children and I think they have a lot of fun with him. He`s always had that child in his heart so he knows what kids need and he gives it to them. And he also spends a lot of time with them. Doesn`t leave them with nanny all the time.
