Michael Jackson to Be Honored at Disneyland

Michael Jackson will be honored at one of his favorite places in the world--Disneyland.

Bosses at the Californian theme park are considering bringing back "Captain EO," a 17-minute 3D movie starring Michael, which was originally shown at the venue in the 80s and 90s.

The short film was about a space crew who were on a mission to take a present to an alien leader and stars Michael, who also performs two songs in it.

Apparently Michael fans have been writing letters to Disneyland bosses asking that they bring the famous attraction back as a tribute to him. An official statement about the attraction is expected to be made on September 10th.

Meanwhile, when a celebrity moves into a new neighborhood, it usually raises the property value of the area. Michael has managed to do just that, but from the grave.

Michael was laid to rest at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park, and the cemetery has since seen an increase in interest from people asking to be buried there...and more specifically, right by Michael.

Plots near Michael’s burial spot have risen in price by between $2,000 and $3,000! A cemetery representative said: “When a high-profile person comes in, it can affect the prices of the surrounding plots.”

Some people are even using it as an opportunity to make a quick buck. One man who owns space near Michael's crypt is offering to sell his two-man space for $34,000.

The owner said: “We've had a tremendous response. We're weighing all of our options.”

It's sad that people are still making money off of Michael's death, but there are some hard-core MJ fans that would be thrilled at the possibility of being buried next to him. Would you pay that much?
