Michael Jackson Suffering From Lung Disease?

It's no secret that Michael Jackson's health has been deteriorating in the last few years. He rarely leaves the house, and when he does he's usually in a wheelchair in his pajamas. The author behind a new biography about Jackson insists that the fragile star is suffering from lung disease.

Ian Halperin claims that Jackson is suffering from a condition known as Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a potentially fatal genetic illness. Due to the condition, Jackson is reportedly losing vision in his left eye and has developed emphysema.

Halperin writes, "He has had Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency for years, but it's gotten worse. He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. He can barely speak, the vision in his left eye has 95 per cent.

"For years Michael has been working with doctors to make sure it doesn't progress. He has been on medications that have stabilized him."

In other Michael news, the sick pop star has reportedly just inked a deal to rent out a super posh mansion in Holmby Hills, CA for $100,000 a month!

According to TMZ, the $38 million Holmby Hills pad has seven bedrooms, 13 baths, 12 fireplaces, a screening room, a guesthouse, swimming pool and garden. No word on how he's going to pay the rent, considering he's currently between $200 and $270 million in debt.
