Michael Jackson is reportedly suffering from a severe skin infection that is putting his life in danger.
We knew his health was deteriorating after seeing recent photos of him where his skin on his hands looked infected. But this sounds serious!
Askmen.com reports that Michael has been receiving antibiotics through an intravenous drip to beat the unknown disease that has allegedly spread throughout his body.
He was recently photographed leaving a clinic in LA after a regular check-up. And that’s when the paps snapped shots of his inflamed skin on his face and hands.
The report says MJ has a severe infection, which is resistant to conventional antibiotics and could leave him needing major surgery. A source tells the publication:
"Michael Jackson has a severe staph infection that he contracted during work to reconstruct his nose. The disease is an MRSA-style infection because it is resistant to conventional antibiotics, so he has been visiting a clinic to get antibiotics via an IV drip.
"The infection has spread throughout his face and body and is being aggressively treated by doctors. There's a chance it could turn into a flesh-eating disorder where it begins to kill off his skin so he's being very carefully monitored."
That sounds terrible! Michael has had really bad luck when it comes to his skin. He already suffers from vitiligo, which caused him to lose pigment in his skin. And now this! We wish him a full recovery!
