Michael Fans Boycott "This Is It" Movie

Michael Jackson
Hardcore Michael Jackson fans are boycotting Michael's movie "This Is It" because they feel like it isn't a true depiction of Michael's final days.

Thousands of his fans have formed a group called 'This Is Not It', to protest against the movie, which opens in theatres on October 28.

A statement on the group's website reads: "The true state of Michael Jackson’s failing health was being hidden from you by those who are making a profit from the screening of the 'This Is It' movie.

"The movie is made of a careful choice of footage taken during Michael Jackson’s last rehearsals. Out of 110 hours of footage, a few scenes were selected in which Michael Jackson smiled, in spite of being in a dire state.

"The promoters for ‘This Is It’, ignored the signs, ignored the pleas, and in fact, actively covered up the truth. What you will see on that screen is part of that cover up."

If people do decide to see the film, the 'This Is Not It' urges them to "see it with different eyes".

Meanwhile, Michael's good friend Elizabeth Taylor watched the movie in an advanced screening and was very impressed.

She Tweeted: "It is the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen."

Adding, "I wept from pure joy at his God given gift. There will never, ever be the likes of him again."

Will you be watching the movie?

Michael was the victim of a hughe conspiracy. Since his death we have found out that: - 1. He was given Diprivan nightly for 6 weeks (the length of the rehearsal), along with other meds, by Dr. Murray. - 2. The info released on Oct 1 of the autopsy showed he was healthy, no major medical problems, no ilicit drugs found and only drugs given by Dr. Murray found. - 3. The side effects and after effects of some of those drugs last a while and do impair you to some extent. - 4. MJ was 50 years old. - 5. It was easy to pick out what appeared to be body doubles in the movie and these were the persons that didn't seem quite like MJ. - 6. MJ seemed to hold it together "pretty well" with what he was working against--age, side effects from being drugged at night, being out of the game for many years. There were many scenes where it was obvious "he still had it"--typical MJ style. Now I ask, this boycott, is it really being done by MJ fans or attempts at clever actions of the conspirators. Because, why drug him at night them film him all day. Are you hoping/looking for something or trying to prove something. And, by the way, are you now checking to try and see if you were successful. You are really "somewhat tranparent!!!!" What the fans should boycott and really look at is what is happening to MJ's fortune now, then what's going on would be clear as water. Look at who's controlling what he worked for. This is hughe and other entertainers and wealthy persons had better take note, because if they are allowed to get away with this, this is just the beginning. Because it's done so to speak "in your face" style.

Boycotting a movie that is getting Oscar buzz is ridiculous. But you go ahead. There is not such thing as bad publicity. This is showbiz, baby.

Here's how it goes, you and me up and down, but maybe this time we'll get it right, we'll get it right. 'Cause love is something you can shape when it breaks. If you feel like leaving I'm not gonna beg you to stay 'Cause soon you'll be finding You can run, you can hide But you can't escape my love And in the end just our love matters. You can run, you can hide But you can't escape my love (x10) Here's how it goes, you and me up and down, but maybe this time we'll get it right, we'll get it right. I agree with Chloe. I'm attending the premiere tonight with a VIP pass. I'll never get to see him perform live and this is the closest I'll ever get. Boycotting this film does no one any good. And it certainly does NOT bring MJ back.

It's always funny how "fans" think they really know the people they admire. How would they know what was going with him more than people who actually knew him, like Elizabeth Taylor? Boycotting the movie is just silly.

Given Michael's problems, it does raise questions. As for the movie, it's called editing.

I want to watch it but not at the movies so hopefully it'll come out on dvd along with his memorial service. R.I.P. Michael Joseph Jackon. I love you.

Can't imagine that happening! The movie has sold out all around here. Not boycotting going on!

There are a lot of Michael Jackson fans out there, myself included. However, we are just that: fans._________Most of us have never had the chance to even share an ice cream cone together with him, much less interacted meaningful with him on numerous occasions.____Being in a position to do the latter makes people become more than fans. They might be fans (likely, are), but they're also friends._______Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson have been very close friends for a very long time, so I'm more likely to believe her take on this movie, and she seems to be in favor of it and thinks it's beautiful and well-made.

I'm perhaps one of Michael's biggest fans, but completely disagree with these people. I will definitely be seeing the movie, not for any other reason but to see Michael perform for the last time. Yes, perform! This isn't a documentary. It would be different if it were. I love MJ, and I know he wasn't in the best shape of his life, but he loved to perform more than anything else. Shame on all who pushed him into concerts he was unhappy with performing; shame on the media who was so fixated on watching him fall, and then praising him when he finally did; shame on everyone who turned their back on his pain, including certain family members. Michael was always a "cash cow" and his mortality wasn't felt until his passing. I, for one, can't wait to see the movie.

I'm not a big movie goer personally but I dont feel the same way they do. Why would you want to see a great legend in pain, you should want to see him at his best.
