Katherine Jackson is fuming over the situation concerning Michael Jackson’s inheritance. She continues to fight with the lawyers presiding over Michael’s estate, and is now demanding the production of financial documents, and contracts Jackson entered into with his estate, record label, and concert officials.
In court documents obtained today by People, Katherine says, "The special administrators have, up to this point, refused all requests. Her filing alleges the administrators are "apparently intent on keeping her in the dark as much and for as long as possible."
Michael’s estate lawyers call Katherine’s claims "voluminous, burdensome and invasive."
An AEG lawyer spoke out against Katherine as well, saying,
"Without the safeguards necessary to ensure the continued confidentiality of the artist agreement and any proposed modifications, AEG cannot provide such information to Ms. Jackson or her counsel without risking serious harm to its business.”
But Katherine has reason for concern. Hundreds of millions of dollars are potentially at stake, including record royalties, money from DVDs, books, and his share of the Beatles catalogue.
That’s a pretty penny! We’re sure Katherine wants to get her hands on some of it for the sake of Michael’s children! She also wants the documents handy for their next hearing, which is scheduled for August 3rd.
