Kanye West: I'm the New Michael Jackson

Kanye West is convinced that if anyone should be crowned the next 'King of Pop', it should be him. Kanye believes that he's so talented, he can fill the void that Michael Jackson left, and wants a new title ASAP.

He tells Scrape TV, "You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It's so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I'm willing to take that on. There's nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael's crown and become the new King.

"First there was Elvis (Presley), then there was Michael, now in the 21st century it's Kanye's time to rule. I am the new King of Pop."

Wow Kanye, don't hold anything back now. Sounds like someone's head has finally got too big to fit through doorways. While we'll agree that Kanye is an amazing talent, he's nowhere near Michael Jackson status.

If anyone has the potential to one day take on the 'King of Pop' title, it's going to be Justin Timberlake, not Kanye West. Justin has been singing, dancing and performing since he was a little boy, Kanye has only been in the scene for a few years.

When you hear King of Rock, you know who that is. When you hear Queen of Soul, you know who that is. When you hear King of Pop, you KNOW who that is. There can only be ONE of each. Besides, Kanye can't TOUCH Michael Jackson's records! He hasn't broken any records. He is not a world philanthropist. How much money has Kanye donated? MJ has donated $300M+ as well as 20% of his estate. If Elvis's estate is any indication of what MJ's can do, that's a lot of $$ to help heal the world. But there is one thing Kanye has that MJ did not . . . EGO!

The title needs to be retired just like the King of Rock and Roll was retired with Elvis. Timberlake said back when they were trying to call him the new King of Pop in 2004 that he didn't want the title. That it belonged only to MJ and he's right. Although Timberlake is far better qualified to have the title he dosen't want it and out of repect to Michael it should die with him.

lol Is he joking? I sure hope so. He is, after all, "a gay fish" (I'm referring to a South Park episode BTW) :) I completely agree with SGTPEPPER...we won't see talent like Michael's in this lifetime.
