The rumors continue to circulate involving the real cause of
Michael Jackson’s death. Was it drug use, heart problems? Joe Jackson is speaking up about his son, and he tells
ABC News he suspects foul play.
Joe sat down with Nightline last night, and said, “I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that, yes.”
Just this morning, new documents were revealed that show the severity of Michael’s drug addiction. Retired LA County Sheriff’s deputy Michael Laperruque claims Michael was self-injecting Demerol for years.
Michael’s former bodyguard Chris Carter told law enforcement Micahel was addicted to Xanax, and he would often have to pick up prescriptions for his boss under his own name. Apparently Michael used several of his employees’ names as aliases in order to obtain more prescriptions.
Also, Dr. Conrad Murray and Dr. Arnold Klein have both been uncooperative in turning over medical records to the County Coroner’s office.
Los Angeles Police Department Chief William Bratton says that, depending on what the toxicology tests turn up, the nature of their investigation into Jackson's death could change.
He told
CNN, "We are still awaiting corroboration form the coroner's office as to cause of death.That is going to be very dependent on the toxicology reports that are due to come back. And based on those, we will have an idea of what it is we are dealing with. Are we dealing with a homicide, or are we dealing with accidental overdose?"
It’s sounding more and more like this case will be similar to Anna Nicole Smith’s in the sense that doctors and/or friends of Michael’s may be charged with illegal prescribing of drugs.
