Joan Rivers Slams Brooke Shields' Michael Jackson Speech

Most people were touched by Brooke Shields’ speech at Michael Jackson’s memorial. But there’s one person who was not impressed, and that’s Joan Rivers.

She’s never one to hold back her thoughts, and has made a career out of being opinionated. She made it pretty clear how she felt about Brooke’s tearful speech at Michael’s memorial.

Joan told TMZ, "I'd love to roast Brooke Shields. Michael's dearest friend. She hasn't seen him since 1993."

When the paparazzi tried to side with Brooke, she told them, “Oh darling, grow up! It’s called face time.

Why would someone who hasn't seen someone in over 15 years speak at their memorial service!? I think Brooke's speech was disgusting because where was she all these years when Michael was going through hell? I used to like Brooke Shields, but this latest ploy to try so desperately to be noticed as an actress (which the world already knows that Shields has not acting talent at all!)was in VERY poor taste. But the big question is, why did Jackson's family allow it?!

O my gosh, I am so happy to know that there is someone else out there that feels the same way I do. I couldn't bear to watch the whole memorial service, especially after I saw Brooke S.'s speech. I was disgusted. Especially that part at the very beginning, where she makes that o-so-distraught face. I thought it was incredibly ingenuous. And fyi, every biography on MJ - perhaps excluding his own (I have not read his autobiography) - concludes that MJ's relationship with Brooke was very surface, and had a lot to do with "public relations".

who is Joan Rivers to talk? Jocelyn Wildenstein anyone? She is slowly becoming the cat woman of New York! Brooke's eulogy during Michael's memorial was definitely genuine. They were a large part of each other's adolescence. Who to say they never talked on the phone? And Joan Rivers has never been funny. Talk about someone wanting Face Time. Go away to a nursing home and knit something.
