Janet Jackson's Tearful Tribute to Michael at BET Awards

The 2009 BET Awards may have been dedicated to Michael Jackson, but a tearful speech from his sister Janet Jackson quite possibly stole the show.

Wearing all white, Janet took the stage at the Shrine Auditorium to thank fans for all their support in the wake of Michael's passing.

She said: "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too
painful so they elected me to speak with all of you.

"I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is
family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts.

"On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love - thank you for all your support. We miss him so much," she said as she fought off tears.

As she left the stage, Jamie Foxx, Stevie Wonder and Ne-Yo performed the Jackson 5 hit I'll Be There and a photo montage of Michael played on the screen in the background.
