Jackson Family Feuding Over Michael's Final Resting Place

Michael Jackson
The Jackson's just can't seem to come to an agreement about where Michael Jackson should be buried. Michael's mother Katherine is fighting against having his final resting place be Neverland Ranch because she insists her son never planned on returning to the property he abandoned in 2005.

However, Michael's older brother Jermaine hinted that the rest of the family wanted Michael at Neverland because he could feel Michael on the property. It was his home.

During an interview from Neverland last week Jermaine said, "I want my mother to come back here and feel what I feel, my brothers, my sisters... because it is so important. I mean, he built this place with love, you can feel it, you can see it. It's quiet, it's peaceful."

But now a source tells Radar, "Michael left Neverland for good, never to return. He felt violated by law enforcement after his molestation trial. He felt this place he had built had been tainted. Katherine continues to be her son's protector even after his death."

Michael's body is currently being held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood, although it's listed as the "temporary" site for his remains. How much longer can they avoid burying him? He passed away almost two weeks ago! Where do you think Michael should be buried?

He should be cremated, like Lennon, and NO ONE should ever know where his ashes are.

Cremation is acceptable by the Jehovah's Witness religion...so Katherine should be receptive. Really, it's the only way to go and keep his remains private and protected in an urn. I know I would not like being buried in the ground to rot with bugs, etc. I don't see what the appeal would be to anyone. They can have a memorial plaque and/or statue somewhere with security to prevent theft and vandelism...where the fans can pay their respects.

you know people there is a law that says a body should be buried within a week of death for sanitry reasons , if the family dont want him buried maybe joe wants to stuff him ,there you go maybe you can sell tickets to that to Joe. Heres my point Micheal Jackson loved money like all other celbs do and did ,this is a guy that said he loved kids ,25,000 bucks could have feed alot of them. Either way 25,000 or a 1,000 for a casket they still rot like any other man. The Jacksons need to grow up and bury their son, or be charged. either way joe and liz hes not comming back

I know famous people are buried in strange places all the time. I didn't say he couldn't be buried at Neverland. He can be buried in Tito's back yard for all I care. They just can't do it on their own without proper permission from various agencies.

Yes, for some reason I remember reading that Neverland was not some place MJ would ever return to...I'm sure Katherine will make the right decision. I don't believe his body will travel from state to state like James Brown....was he ever laid to rest?

Oh, btw unklscrufy, what he did and didn't do isn't for any of us to judge. God knows the truth, let him judge.

Interesting unkl. Famous people are buried in strange places all the time. Places that us "normal" folk wouldn't even have a chance. It's about the memory that Michael carries for all of us who grew up with his music. Elvis and Graceland, Dolly and DollyWood (yes she's still alive). We couldn't bury you in your front yard because the whole world has no reason to come see you and memorialize you.

You can't just bury a person in their front yard. Everyone from the city and county and state has to approve it first. And the ranch didn't do anything to Michael. He's solely responsible for the consequences of the life he chose to live. I say bury him at Forest Lawn and get it over with.

I understand both sides of the coin here. The mother has every right to want him anywhere but Neverland Ranch. Look at what it put into his life. BUT if Neverland Ranch is transformed into a memorial that "tainted" feeling Michael had about it would end. People would be coming there out of love and respect for someone who had a great understanding of music and dance. I say make a plot just off of the Neverland Ranch property for Michael. Return the love to Michael's dream. Give it back it's original intention.

Noone knew him better than his own mother. I would say she should make that decision.I honestly think no matter what he should be cremated because rest assured some crazy fan would probably try and dig up his grave.Either that or have a plack in remembrence of him at Neverland or a Cemetary, but bury him somewhere noone will know about, only the family.

Quincy Jones, did not attend, nor did Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross. There are those that cannot handle the loss of someone that were close them. People grieve in different ways. The family have more important things to worry about then who was or wasn't there. Neverland would be a fitting place to bury Michael, the structure could be made into a museum and would garner money for his children. However, should this not be an option, then he should be cremated and his ashes placed in a vault in Forest Lawn.

Cremate him and divy him up amongst the family.

I really don't think Michael should be buried at Neverland. It's the place that broke him. "The scene of the crime," in his eyes. He vowed that he would never return to Neverland after his 2005 accusations. The Jackson men are always thinking of how to make a buck out of this in my opinion. Despite his interviews, Jermaine at one point was in competition with Michael, artistically and financially.
