Debbie Rowe has come forward with a shocking statement about her two children she carried via artificial insemination for
Michael Jackson.
Apparently Debbie never really wanted to get pregnant with both Prince Michael and Paris. She did it because Michael had the desire to be a father.
An 2003 interview Debbie had with
Us Weekly has just surfaced, which may ruin her chances of getting custody of the children for good. Debbie still plans on fighting for custody of Michael’s children, when the case goes to court on July 13th.
But what she told
Us Weekly six years ago didn’t sound like a woman who is aching for her children. She said in the interview, "Parenting is an art; you earn the title. Because you give birth and impregnate someone does not automatically give you the title of mother or father – you earn the title.”
"My kids don’t call me mom because I don’t want them to. They are Michael’s children. It’s not that they’re not my children, but I had them because I wanted him to be a father."
Addressing the claims she’d abandoned her kids, Debbie replied, "They say, 'I can't believe she left her children.' Left them? I did not leave my children. My children are with their father where they are supposed to be.”
"If it hadn't been for how much I love him and because of our relationship, I would never have had children. And how spoiled am I? I get to go through the whole experience with a loving, caring person, and I can still have the opportunity to have the life I never thought I would have back again. I am still waiting for that and working on it. I'm the one who feels selfish about having the kids."
So the question is, why would Debbie suddenly be showing interest in these kids’ lives that she’s never been a part of? It sounds a little fishy to us!
