Debbie Rowe has reportedly just dropped the custody battle against the Jackson family. According to the New York Post, Debbie has agreed to give up the kids for good, but it came with a hefty price tag.
According to the source, Debbie will be receiving a $4 million pay out from the Jackson family, which will finalize the custody battle. A source close to the Jacksons tells the Post, “It’s one final payday.”
The Jackson family is reportedly very unhappy about having to pay Debbie off, but if it meant keeping her away from the kids, they felt they needed to do it.
The source added, "They felt it was like a ransom-type thing. [Rowe] jumped back into the picture because she wanted money.”
But in the long run, this is good news for the Jacksons because it would take Debbie out of the picture forever. The source says that even in the event of something happening to Katherine, Debbie wouldn’t be able to challenge the next guardian, for example Diana Ross, or even Janet.
It sounds like this is the best bet for everyone involved! Debbie gets a sweet payday, Katherine gets the kids, and the kids don’t have to leave their family when they need them most!
