This is the saddest day in entertainment history!
Michael Jackson, the iconic pop singer, has died at 50 years old.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him even after he arrived at the hospital.
Paramedics performed CPR for 42 minutes, and Jackson was seen with an oxygen mask over his face being hauled on a stretcher to an ambulance (see photo below). He reportedly arrived in a deep coma.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedic Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's rented home around 12:26 p.m.
At approximately 1:14 p.m. when he arrived at the hospital, doctors and emergency personnel performed CPR and tried to resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful. He was announced dead at 2:26 p.m.
"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said.
A Hospital employee confirmed to Hollyscoop that LaToya Jackson was seen running out of the emergency room crying. Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
