Tell us something we didn’t already know Michael Fassbender: Celebrities typically get more attention from the general public than non-celebrities.

The actor observed this Law of Relationship Physics, telling the November issue of GQ magazine that he’s noticed that as his celebrity grew, his dating life got a major boost.

“I make a lot more friends, you know what I mean? You become a lot more successful in terms of, like, talking to a girl,” Michael said. “She’s all of a sudden more interested in me. I know that, like, three years ago, she would’ve walked away after two sentences left my mouth.”

With critically acclaimed films like 12 Years a Slave, Shame, Prometheus, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and an Oscar nomination under his belt, approaching women has become nearly foolproof for the 36-year-old.

“I remember I was sitting at this table at this thing, and I was talking to this girl,” he continued. “I was like, ‘God, I am so boring right now.’ But she was like, ‘That’s so interesting!’ I was like, ‘You know what? Five years ago, this would not have been interesting.’”
