Hall and Carpenter got hitched in a super secret ceremony in Big Sur, California after secretly dating for over a year and a half. That's so not Hollywood!
While the quickie wedding came as a shock to Dexter fans, his co-star
Julie Benz, who plays his wife on the hit show, tells Hollyscoop.com she wasn't surprised by the news.
"I'm excited for them, I always thought they should date so I wasn't surprised when they started dating," Benz told Hollyscoop exclusively at the Los Angeles Confidential Magazine's Annual Golden Globe Party held at the Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel on Saturday.
She added, "What they have between them is a very special, very real relationship and they are such great friends to me, its such a magical time for them."
Just like Michael and Carpenter's close friends and family, their co-stars were also left in the dark about their wedding. "I didn't know ahead of time," Benz told Hollyscoop. "But I'm not surprised, they're a very low key, mellow couple."
The couple made their first public appearance as man and wife at the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. Although their hit show didn't take home a Globe, they already have plenty to celebrate about. Congrats to the happy couple!
